Shut the Box Rules

Can be played with 1-4 players

2-4 player rules:

  1. Roll the dice to see who plays first.
  2. Roll both dice. Using the glass stones, cover numbers to equal the number rolled. The entire sum must be used, not just one die.
  3. Play continues clockwise.
  4. On your turn, if you cannot cover the sum rolled, you cover no numbers at all and play moves to the next player.
  5. At any time, you may choose to only roll one die. But if you roll both dice, you must cover the entire sum.
  6. The first player to cover all numbers, 1-9, is the winner.

Single Player rules:

  1. All rules are the same, with the following exception. To win, you must cover all your numbers without rolling a number which you cannot cover.
  2. If you roll a number you cannot cover, you lose. Remove all stones and try again.
