Euchre Board ($29)

Believed to have originated in the Midwest region of the United States in the early 19th century, Euchre is now a classic card game.  Simple to learn, but the combination of strategy, teamwork, and a bit of good luck will make this game a lifetime favorite.  This 6″x 8″ board gives your game a level of class.  Keep track of the trump suit, the score of the game, and how many games your team has won.  Comes with solid metal pegs as trackers, a new deck of cards, and a quality velvet bag to store your board between fun filled nights with friends.  Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.

Ten Thousand ($39)

While the origins of this dice game are unclear, it seems most families have a version with its own variations.  With many names such as Farkle, Zilch, and sometimes simply Dice, it is widely known.  The game involves rolling dice to accumulate 10,000 points. My version uses 6 dice and two or more players follow the path to the top. Be the first to get 10,000 points and win!  This 7″x14″ board has the scoring engraved right on the front. Custom versions tweaking the rules for your family are available as an add on option.  Comes with 6 dice, 4 all metal pegs, rule sheet, and a nice cloth bag for storage. Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.

Canoga ($12)

A version of Shut the Box, this game is for one or two players. Roll the dice and remove marbles totaling the sum of the roll. Continue rolling until you either remove all the marbles, (win) or roll a number of which you cannot remove. This 6″x2-1/4″ game is perfect for travel. Comes with 2 dice and 9 marbles, rule sheet, and a nice velvet bag for storage. Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.

Euchre Cube ($8 each)

For use with any game that requires one of the 4 standard card suits to be “trump”. Cards are a social game, stories, gossiping, and just general fun between friends happens as part of the game. “What did you say trump is?” is a common question during these game sessions. Simply place the called trump suit up for players to easily remember which suit was called. Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.

The Ring Game ($35)

Swing the ring and try to catch it on the hook! Move the shot toward your opponent each time you are successful and eventually, one of you will make it off your opponent’s side of the game. You’ve seen this on internet videos, now get one of your own. Traditionally a drinking game, although that is not required for a good time. Maybe instead of alcohol, try tabasco sauce, pickle juice, vinegar… whatever you wish! The game is 12″ tall and 12′ long and comes with a shot glass to fit the holes. Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.

Quarto ($29)

Quarto is a strategy game for two players. The 16 pieces start on the table off the board, with players adding a piece for each turn. To win, simply be the first to get 4 in a row, up, down, or diagonally, with at least one of 4 attributes in common. Tall or short, round or square, light or dark, solid or hollow. Oh, yeah, one more level of strategy… your opponent picks the piece you play, adding a level of defense that is not seen in most games. Set yourself up for success while blocking your opponent from doing the same. Comes with the 7-1/2′ x 7-1/2′ board, 16 game pieces, a nice velvet bag for storage, and a rule sheet. Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.

Hnefatafl ($39)

Also called Viking’s Chess, or simply Tafl, it originated as early as the 4th century in the Scandinavian region of the world. A two-player game, one team, starting in the middle of the board, is the defenders of the king, the other team, starting on the outer edges of the board, is the attackers. The defenders win if the king can safely navigate to one of the four corners. The attackers win if they can capture the king. All pieces, including the king, may move as many spaces as they wish, however no piece may move diagonally, nor may a piece jump over or pass another piece. Any piece may be captured and removed from the board if it is flanked on opposite sides by two of the opponent’s pieces. The king acts as a member of the defenders and may help capture opponents as the game proceeds. Along with the board, the playing pieces (stones), and rule sheet are included. The game also includes a box for storage. Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.

Frustration Rummy ($29)

At the shows I attend on a regular basis, I have heard many different names that families have for this game. This card game is played in rounds with each player trying to accomplish a goal that changes each time they are successful. 14 goals must be completed in order. Accomplish your goal and move your peg down a notch. First player to the bottom of the board is the winner! Complete rules are included along with the 6″ x 8″ board, metal pegs for markers, and two decks of cards. (each person gets 13 cards per hand so you need the extra deck) Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.

Penny Drop ($29)

This game is for 2 or more players, the number of players is unlimited, although the game gets longer the more players you have. Each player begins with 10 pennies. (or less for a shorter game) On your turn, roll the die. Place one of your pennies on the space for the number you rolled. You may then roll again or pass to the next player. If you pass, any pennies on the board stay where they are for the next player to deal with. If you roll a number with a penny already on it, your turn is over and you must take ALL of the pennies on the board and add them to your pile. 6 is a free spot however. If you roll a 6, place it in the hole at the center of the game. That penny is now out of the game and will not come back until the game is over. Push your luck to get rid of pennies, but don’t blow it or you will end up with more than you started with! Comes with the 7-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ x 1″ game board, one die, a velvet storage bag, complete rules, and even a handful of pennies to get you started. Each one-of-a-kind design is unique, grain patterns and wood types will vary.
